Hotdesks provide floating SIP credentials for shared devices without assigning a permanent user extension.
Module Workflow
- Open Hotdesks from navigation.
- Create a hotdesk profile with SIP username/password.
- Distribute credentials to approved devices.
Configuration Steps
- Use location-based names such as Lobby or Frontdesk.
- Restrict by IP when possible.
- Set call limit based on expected concurrency.
Operational Tips
- Use separate hotdesks per department for clearer call history.
- Audit inactive hotdesks regularly.
