Hotdesks

Hotdesks provide floating SIP credentials for shared devices without assigning a permanent user extension.


Module Workflow

  1. Open Hotdesks from navigation.
  2. Create a hotdesk profile with SIP username/password.
  3. Distribute credentials to approved devices.

Configuration Steps

  • Use location-based names such as Lobby or Frontdesk.
  • Restrict by IP when possible.
  • Set call limit based on expected concurrency.

Operational Tips

  • Use separate hotdesks per department for clearer call history.
  • Audit inactive hotdesks regularly.
